An Emotional Goodbye & Thank You to All Our Stingray Family
Dear Parents and Swim Families,
After eight wonderful years as a part of this swim team and an additional two as your head coach—I wanted to reach out personally to share some news and, more importantly, my heartfelt thanks. Recently, I was informed that the board made the decision to move forward this season without me as head coach. While I am deeply disappointed, I want to take this opportunity to express my immense gratitude to each of you and to the incredible swimmers I’ve had the privilege to coach.
It has been one of the great joys of my life to watch your children grow—not just in their swimming skills, but in their confidence, teamwork, and love for the sport. Whether they were learning to make it across the pool for the first time or dropping seconds off their personal best, their enthusiasm reminded me every day why I love coaching.
Working with your families has built a sense of community that I will always treasure. The laughter at early morning practices, the excitement on meet days, and the support from parents cheering deckside are moments that have meant the world to me. You have all helped create a positive environment where our swimmers could truly thrive, and I will always be thankful to have been a part of it.
Though I will not be a part of the team this season, I hope the values we built together—hard work, sportsmanship, and joy in the process—remain at the heart of the team moving forward.
Thank you again for trusting me with the privilege of guiding your children. It has been an honor and an experience I will always cherish.
With sincere appreciation,
John Call
