Practice Information and Expectations
Practice is held Mondays through Thursdays, June 1st through July 9th
We will put swimmers into practice groups once we see how many are registered in each age group. We want to ensure everyone has enough room in their lanes, so will schedule accordingly. Practices are available from 7:30-9:30 a.m. and will be broken into age group practices:
8 and under 7:30-8 am
9 - 11 7:45-8:30 am
12 and up 8:30-9:30 am
This will allow Brogan (and any additional LSC volunteers to have the greatest opportunity to work with the older kids since they have practice for LSC early mornings and can’t get to our pool til 8)
Additional Practice Information
- If the outside temperature is below 50 degrees, we will have dry-land practice only
- If the temperature is below 40 degrees, practice will be canceled
- If there is a thunderstorm, practice will be canceled
- Updates and announcements will be posted on the Swimtopia website/app: https://centennialrec.swimtopia.com/
Practice expectations
- We expect swimmers to be at least 10 minutes early for practice so they can stretch and warm up
- Swimmers should be respectful to coaches, teammates, parents, and competitors
- We expect great sportsmanship during practice as well as meets
- Swimmers must refrain from using foul language or inappropriate gestures
- Swimmers who pay attention and work hard during practice can expect to refine their strokes and improve in times throughout the summer
